Our Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine offers outstanding anesthetic care for Durga Hospital patients. Anesthesiologists care for more than 1000 patients each year. This large number of cases, integrated with ongoing research and education, results in wide-ranging expertise in the anesthetic management of patients. They are assisted by numerous residents, nurse anesthetists and respiratory therapists.

Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine staff members are a highly integrated, collaborative group of adult and pediatric anesthesiologists committed to providing the best possible care to adult patients requiring anesthesia and intensive care as well as to pediatric patients. Some members of the department also conduct basic and clinical research and teach postgraduate and continuing education programs.

The Pain Clinic does not provide primary medical care. Conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes and general health concerns need to be addressed by a primary care physician.

Durga's otorhinolaryngologists work closely with other specialists to provide coordinated, comprehensive care for thousands of patients annually. They work particularly closely with specialists in Speech
